The only ways your theory would work would be if the sun pulled significantly harder on the close side (the lighted side) of the earth than the far side (the dark side), which it does not. That and it doesn't measure how ling it takes to pump it it measures how much volume passes through the pump, which is why you should fill up in the morning because the gas is more dense than in the afternoon or evening.</description>
