4 Ways To Reduce Energy

With the news from Google Press, now Intel and Google will join with DELL and WWF (World Wildlife Fund) to launch Climate Savers Computing Initiative. According to the press, the Climate Savers Computing Initiative licensed its name from the WWF Climate Savers program, which involves several leading companies working to reduce their carbon footprint.

Now all the Giant Computing Companies have taken part in this and what can we do to save the climate? Can you remember what have you did to your old computer? Or even spoiled hard disk or other old electrical equipment? Did you leave your computer on for 24 hours even when it’s not in use?

4 simple ways to reduce energy

1. turn off your computer with it’s not in use
2. Set it to sleep/standby mode after 15 min is inactivity, running with screen saver will not save the energy, which can reduce the amount of energy consumed by up to 60 percent..
3. it’s advisable to use LCD monitor compared to CRT as it consume less power
4. If you are using LCD monitor, switch off you monitor when it’s not in use. Do you know that you may extent life time of your LCD by doing so? Sleep mode will turn off the display to reduce the power to most internal circuits. The result is protection again image intention and this will extend the life of the display, at the same times, it reduce energy cost with low power consumption.

Save the climate starts from each and every individual, so let’s take up our responsibility for save our mother earth. It will also save your monthly electricity bill as well…it’s a win-win situation for us right?
