Astro raise charges again…
The first news that i saw early this morning regarding Astro was really a big shock to me. Starting from next month, Astro is going to raise its subcribtion fee from RM5 to RM15 based on packages selection.
Since the launch of 9 new channels from 1st Of May, i already suspected that they are going to raise its charges again, but what’s out of my expectation was, it happened so fast. Just few days after its launch of new channel, they declared a raise in subcribtion fee of 15%.
To me the 9 new channel was nothing special on the programs itself, i would said it’s not attractive at all. It’s services are always interupted in the bad weather like heavy rain. Some more programs that are shown in Astro are not the latest one!!! How dare they increase there charges based on such condition? 
The reasons given for this raise was due to rising programming costs in the past three years which the company had been absorbing, espeacially in broadcasting live sports events. I dun this that this was the main reason, Astro have a huge customers based in Malaysia and it should be able to leverage its revenue and not to increase this burden to it’s subcribers, it’s unfair to us. If you are going to increase the charges, then provide us an excellent services and give us the best quality of programs…
When are we going to have other service provider to compete agains Astro, other then let them monopolize our market?…When will Yoonic IPTV available in Malaysia?
